Artist Statement
Embracing Individuality: An Artist's Journey.
As human beings, we have a natural connection to nature. It's a common belief that artists should draw inspiration from it. However, for me, blending in with nature has always been a struggle. Despite its beauty, I feel disconnected and distant from it. I've tried to immerse myself in the scenery, but I always end up feeling like a blank canvas standing in the middle of a colorful forest. The more I try to "feel" it, the more I realize how separated I am from nature.
It's exhausting to be told that I'm not normal or that I'm boring for not loving what is considered the "mother of all." I kept pushing myself to connect with nature, but I realized that it wasn't my calling. Instead, I found my true connection with humanity. The way people express themselves, their thoughts, emotions, and inner child is what really resonates with me. My artwork represents my journey of accepting my disconnection and feelings that I could never express in words. It's about embracing individuality and being okay with being different. It's okay to feel lonely, even when you're surrounded by everything.
