Description
The Concr&e (Concrete) typeface captures the essence of Hanoi’s urban architecture and its harmonious coexistence of tradition and modernity. Particularly, curves are inspired by the fluidity, movement, and dynamicism of stairs, while thick strokes represent the strength and solidity of most Hanoi buildings.
This project has pushed me to investigate and find inspiration from vernacular elements around the city. Concr&e Typeface is an interference between traditional and contemporary values, showcasing my love for the ancient yet modern capital of Vietnam.
