Description
This display typeface - ‘Alley’ was inspired by the hidden corners found in Hanoi urban landscape. They exist as the interchanged reality between buildings and urban complexes.
Therefore, the typeface aims to reconstruct the depth of those alleyways by incorporating the one-point perspective principles in the final design.
Their narrow silhouettes were recreated with boxy shapes and tall X-height. By inverting the usual color scheme, the typeface brings the negative space into attention, highlighting the overlooked but intrinsic part of Hanoi Urban landscape.
