Exploring Contemporary Art Practice – Typography & Typeface Design
Module Description
In this module, students will investigate and explore the theme of typography and typographic culture. Students will have the opportunity to approach the subject from any perspective; to seek inspiration as a designer, illustrator, photographer or as a visual researcher recording and documenting existing practices.
Students will have the opportunity to develop a range of typographic inspired work and design outcomes in response to the roles and importance of historical and contemporary approaches and the many ways in which typography, lettering and writing are culturally and creatively significant for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
