Artist Statement

To truly appreciate the moon's beauty, we must wait for it to complete its circle and reveal all its facets. Similarly, I look to the waning crescent moon – my opposite moon phase – to remind myself of the areas I need to work on to achieve my own "full moon." For me, the moon is a symbol of my yin energy. In today's society, women are often pressured to adopt masculine traits such as strength and bravery, while being emotional, vulnerable, or nurturing is deemed as weak. This unconscious detachment from our feminine side is a way to conform to modern ideals. However, it's perfectly acceptable to be a woman and embrace our vulnerabilities alongside our strengths. Let us honor all aspects of our being as blessings, for the interplay of yin and yang is what ultimately brings harmony.
