My Journey to Self-Confidence Through Football
As a child, I was often reserved and lacked self-assurance. Speaking up in groups was a daunting task, and I kept my thoughts to myself. Whether I was surrounded by peers or strangers, I felt tongue-tied and unable to express myself. However, everything changed when I set foot on the grass field. Football became my passion, and I found my confidence with each game. It allowed me to communicate with my team in a way that I never thought possible. My self-portrait shows a figure without eyes, wearing a mask and a Manchester United Football Jersey. It represents my social anxieties and insecurities, but also symbolizes the hope and safety that football provides me.
