Description
A physical album for tetralogy of 4 albums and EPs by a Korean Rock/Alt band called HYUKOH. In which including 1 full length album: “23” and 3 EPs : “20”, “22”, “24: How to find true love and happiness”. I want to create a bundle for these 4 in the form of vinyl. The main concept is writing a diary about their youth. I perceive albums as a type of personal diary of the band, “20, “22”, “23”, and”24” all mean their age when making the album. Also, during an interview with Dazed, Oh Hyuk - leader of Hyukoh said that “In a way, (the album is) a diary. In a way, there are some that are my experiences, but for some (songs), it is my observation of others. What I see from people around me and the world around me.”
When it comes to User Experience, people usually think about a website or something digital. However, I want to focus on the physical user experience by creating a fun, exciting and unique packaging design. The visual will be inspired by the original cover design art by Noh Sangho/ Nemonan. One more thing that also inspired me is the old interactive vinyl packaging design like “III” by Led Zeppelin with it die-cut cover and “Life Through Bombardment” by Eluvium with their book look-a-like cover.
