Artist Statement
Balance, Spirituality, and Optimism: The Driving Force Behind My Artistic Creations I often use these three words to describe myself, and they serve as the foundation for my artwork.
My sculpture piece, a symmetrical box, exemplifies balance. Through the use of flowers and colors, I convey emotions and feelings, with the girl in the sculpture representing myself, Kam Kam. Although she appears naked, the shapes of the flowers depict her figure, symbolizing growth, flourishing, and full bloom. In contrast, my second piece represents my journey of learning from past mistakes and growing into the person I am today, as I look back at the image of my childhood.
