Artist Statement

Reflecting on My Life Journey Through the "4 Seasons" Collection

When I was in primary school, I was constantly bullied because of my shyness. I felt frightened, alone, and unable to defend myself until Grade 4, when I learned to ask for help and overcome my traumas.

To tell the story of my life and growth, I created the "4 Seasons" collection, which portrays my journey through the following seasons:

Winter represents the first stage of my life, where I felt vulnerable and alone. The coldness of winter reflects these feelings of solitude.

Summer is a season of positivity, energy, and optimism. It reflects my secondary and high school period where I aspired to become more confident and optimistic despite facing new challenges.

Autumn represents a period of romance, love, and calmness. During this stage, I learned how to love myself and those around me, becoming more responsible and expressive in my work.

Spring is a season of hope, refreshment, and new beginnings. It represents my upcoming plans to become more elegant and mature in the future.

Through the "4 Seasons" story, I've shared my lessons and aspirations as I perfect my personality. As an illustrator, I've found that the personal identity part of my journey has helped me discover my inner world and express it through my art.
